DESCRIPTION: |
SCDPW wishes to conduct a traffic
level study along CR67 between Harned Road and Melwood Drive. The
objective is to develop viable abatement solutions. If and where noise
barriers are proposed, we recognize the need to avoid significant
impacts to the environment, private property and access to businesses as
well as the need to provide appropriate landscaping. The need is to
efficiently identify and analyze potential solutions, and present their
advantages and disadvantages to the DPW engineers along with accurate
construction cost estimates, in order that a selected alternative can
proceed to final design.
JAC Planning will develop and
disseminate project information to the local civics and other interested
parties and obtain community input that can help shape the study’s data
collection/analysis tasks and recommendations. Public outreach efforts
will include a meeting with the local civic organization, prior to and
at the conclusion of the data collection and analysis phases for a total
of 2-meetings.
JAC Planning will do the
following:
 | Supply initial list of civic and
community contacts. |
 | Identify and secure the
premises, including rental and custodial fees at the appropriate
location. |
 | Prepare notification letters to
2-meetings |
 | Identify community input
opportunities. |
 | Develop and maintain a project
mailing list. |
 | Prepare meeting sign-in sheets,
comment sheets and any other required visual aids for presentation at
the 2-meetings. |
 | Collect data and information
from involved outside parties, and keep records of communications. |
 | Prepared and attend 2-meetings,
identify participants present, and document community issues and
concerns. |
 | Locate/establish information
repositories. |
 | Develop information as requested
by the Department needed for formal submittals to outside parties. |
