DESCRIPTION:

This Assignment No. 6 involved permitting and environmental services for the painting of various bridges (40) on Korean War veterans Memorial Parkway and West Shore Expressway, in Staten Island, New York.

 

JAC Planning’s responsibilities included:

bullet Coordinating and determining jurisdictional and permitting requirements of the NYSDEC, Army Corps and U.S. coast Guard.
bullet Preparing any permit applications as may be required for power washing, commercial blasting and repainting of the bridges.
bullet Determining if there are any potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed activities.
bullet Recommending environmentally safe procedures to avoid contamination of toxic or hazardous materials into wetlands.
bullet Developing any special environmental notes to be incorporated into the construction specifications.
