DESCRIPTION: |
To assist the SCDPW in conducting the
Community Public Participation (CPP) efforts and to provide the
necessary coordination and communications required between the County
and appropriate State agencies, local governments, interested civic
groups, concerned citizens, and the media, as directed by Suffolk
County.
JAC Planning's segments of the scope of work are:

Supply initial lists of media and community
contacts. |

Notify the County when participation of
State and local agencies is needed. |
|
Identify community input opportunities. |
|
Develop and maintain a project mailing list. |
|
Collect data and information from involved
outside parties, and keep records of communications. |
|
Prepare and submit draft editions of press
releases, meeting notices, legal notices, and transmittal letters to
be approved by the County. |
|
Locate/establish information repositories. |
|
Develop information as requested by the
Department needed for formal submittals to outside parties. |
